Starbucks Stars
I think I’ve cracked getting the most out of the Starbucks reward stars.
My go-to cold drink is a trenta iced coffee (no Classic - aka simple syrup, aka liquid sugar) with sweetener and half n half.
My go-to hot drinks have either been a venti Caffe Latte or a Flat White, which are both varieties of espresso beverages, with two shots of espresso in them. If I want to redeem my bonus stars for a free drink, it would be 150 stars.
However, I have recently discovered the Caffe Misto, which is not an espresso drink - it’s a one-to-one combination of brewed coffee and steamed milk. Of course, being me (and not liking bitter coffee), I add sweetener to it, as I do with all the other coffee drinks. It’s a little cheaper than the other hot drinks, and to me tastes just as good. I can, for an up charge, add a shot of espresso to it, as I did this morning. The best part?? Even with the shot of espresso added in, I can redeem my bonus stars for a free drink - but here’s the kicker: since it’s a brewed hot coffee drink, I can get it for just 50 stars!!
So I can get THREE Caffe Mistos for the same amount of stars as just ONE of the other hot drinks!
